Bus ride to Tadzhik summer camp. Equipment is loaded here on donkeys or camels. Hike to Base Camp is over mild terrain (ups and downs over a few hills, crossing a moraine with melting glacier at its core). Less adapted expedition members may get Altitude Sickness symptoms on the hike up to, or upon arrival to Base Camp.
